KIDS AROUND THE WORLD ARE SEARCHING FOR HOPE, MEANING AND BELONGING.
WE GET IN IT WITH THEM AND ACCEPT THEM AS THEY ARE.
KIDS HAVE THE CHANCE TO LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST.
Everyone deserves to belong somewhere.
We believe that somewhere is here.
Were coming back...
A lot has happened over the past year as we, worldwide, respond to the impact of the Covid-19 Virus. Currently, many restrictions have been in place are beginning to lift in various cities and states.
Young Life has determined that it is time to implement mission wide measures. With firm resolve, Young Life will do what they can as a global mission to limit the spread of coronavirus. To that end, Young Life is placing the following temporary restrictions in place that remain in place as we speak...
All large group ministry trips as well as all events scheduled at Young Life camps have been cancelled or postponed. We are monitoring the events and are praying that we can and will be able to return to our regularly scheduled trips in the near future. Please join us in that prayer.
All clubs in the U.S. are currently allowed to meet in small groups of 8-10 while following all CDC recommendations for physical spacing, use of ppe and hand washing. Young Life is doing this out of an abundance of caution to do what we can to help minimize the spread of the virus. Our desire is to remain connected with kids while still complying with any public health guidelines in place for our community. Our Staff and volunteers plan to maintain connections with local young people and we are committed to being faithful and creative in providing the same depth of relationship and adventure that Young Life is known for.
Also in the U.S., Young Life will not hold any large group gatherings (defined as 30 people or more unless local restrictions further limit group size). Due to this measure, evening and on-campus Clubs will be canceled or modified to a small group or virtual format during this period and we will be remaining cautious and vigilant with any other activities taking place within the local mission field.
As we continue to monitor this situation, we will provide updates as to whether these restrictions will need to be extended.
Public-facing statements for parents and others are also posted on younglife.org and on camp websites.
I believe that this is a crucial moment to remember that we are one mission. Even though our experience of this outbreak differs across the globe, we are in this together and must pray for one another as we respond with faith, not fear.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
